This 12-day journey takes you from the capital city of Islamabad to the breathtaking northern valleys. Travel along the legendary Karakoram Highway or optionally fly over the spectacular Hindu Kush and Karakoram ranges. Explore the scenic wonders of Gilgit, Hunza, Nagar, Baltistan, and reach the iconic Khunjerab Pass (4,700 m)—the highest international border crossing in the world and the end of the Karakoram Highway within Pakistan.

Overnight in Islamabad/Rawalpindi
Take a scenic flight or drive along the Karakoram Highway to Gilgit.
Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and explore the town.
Overnight in Gilgit
Drive to Hunza. Stop at ancient Silk Route traces and Rakaposhi Viewpoint.
Visit Baltit Fort and explore Karimabad bazaar.
Overnight in Karimabad
Visit the stunning Attabad Lake, cross the Husseini Suspension Bridge, see Borith Lake,
and hike near Passu Glacier. Lunch at Glacier Breeze Restaurant with
views of Passu Cones. Evening walk in Passu.
Overnight in Passu Valley
Drive through Khunjerab National Park to the Pakistan–China border.
Possible wildlife sightings (ibex, marmot, snow leopard).
Return to Hunza and head to Duikar
for sunset views.
Overnight in Karimabad
Drive to Nomal and transfer to 4x4 jeeps for Naltar Valley. Explore forests, snow-capped peaks,
and the famous Green/Rainbow Lake. Return to Gilgit.
Overnight in Gilgit
Drive along the Indus River Gorge to Skardu.
Scenic route with photography stops.
Overnight in Skardu
Drive to Khaplu, stopping where the Indus and Shyok rivers meet. Visit Khaplu
Palace
(heritage site turned museum/hotel).
Explore the village.
Overnight in Khaplu
Return to Skardu with a detour to Shigar Valley. Stop at the Cold Desert dunes.
Visit historic Shigar Fort
and enjoy lunch in its royal garden.
Overnight in Skardu
Visit Shangrila Resort, Upper & Lower Kachura Lakes, and local villages.
Optional short hikes or free time.
Overnight in Skardu
Fly to Islamabad (weather permitting) or drive via Karakoram
Highway with a stop in Besham.
Overnight in Islamabad/Rawalpindi
