Starting point: Islamabad Airport
End: Islamabad Airport
Duration Trip: 10 nights / 11 days
Ideal time: May to end of October
Visiting Pakistan is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, especially the northern region known as Gilgit-Baltistan. It is surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains, deep-colored rivers, serene lakes, and massive glaciers, making it one of the best destinations for nature lovers and adventure seekers. In the north, you will explore the stunning landscapes of Gilgit, Nagar, and the iconic Hunza Valley. The tour also includes a three-day trekking or horse-riding journey to Fairy Meadows, located at the foot of the mighty Nanga Parbat (8,126 m), the second-highest mountain in Pakistan and the ninth-highest in the world. Additionally, you will travel through the Karakoram Mountains to reach the Khunjerab Pass (Pakistan–China border), located at 4,700 meters. It is known as the highest international border crossing and marks the end of the Karakoram Highway (887 km) within Pakistan.

Continue to Raikot Bridge, then transfer to local Jeep for an adventurous (but safe) ride to Tato
Village.

Porters are available for baggage. Only warm clothing for 2 days is needed; extra
luggage can stay in the car.

If traveling between mid-June and early October:
Take the shorter route via Babusar Pass (4,173 m) and stay in Naran.
If the pass is closed:
Use the all-season traditional route.
Overnight in Besham or Naran
Complete the journey to Islamabad. Transfer to hotel for rest and shower. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the famous food street in Islamabad or Rawalpindi (twin cities: Islamabad is modern; Rawalpindi is historic and lively).
